How to recognize safe or unsafe websites

Check that the website uses HTTPS over HTTP. The “S” in HTTPS stands for “secure”, meaning that the website users SSL, or a Secure Socket Layer, to help prevent others from accessing your sensitive data.

  • Click next to the website URL in the search bar and see if the connection is confirmed as secure!

    Keeping Your Software Updated

An update is a new version of an application or system that might eliminate bugs, enhance device performance and, more importantly, fix security flaws.
